Mary Kimball

Mary is a.n accomplished teacher and trainer of horses and riders in various disciplines which include dressage, hunt seat, stock seat, saddle seat, and sidesaddle. She has started young horses under saddle since 1968, trained gaited horses since 1973, and galloped race horses for over 18 years. Along with training in these disciplines, she has successfully competed in them as well. Dressage is her specialty.

 

Mary has also had many other great successes in life. She founded the Idaho Dressage and Eventing Association (IDEA) in 1975. She trained for 9 months in Dublin, Ireland to earn a British Horse Society Instructor program degree. She is certified to be an instructor/ trainer by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF). Through USDF she earned the Bronze and Silver Medalist USDF Rider Award. Mary was a 2012 Masters Challenge Award Winner at FEI levels in dressage.

 

 

Kenny Kimball

Kenny was a former rodeo rough stock rider and is still an active team roper. He is experienced in cutting, reining, and western pleasure competition training. He has had 50 years of starting young horses in harness and under saddle. He was also a stallion handler, bloodstock agent, and professional farrier.

 

Kenny has been very active in the horse racing business. He has been licensed as a race trainer in six states and won numerous futurities and derbies, as well as intermountain championships. He has won division championships at state and world competitions driving chariot teams, winning the Driver Horsemanship award. He has trained numerous jockeys, gallopers, and grooms.

 

He has managed several businesses in the past and now, including Kimball Training Stables, Sun Valley Horseman Center, Bigwood Equitation Center, Elkhorn Village Stables, and now manages a 4600 acre cattle ranch with BLM grazing allotments. Kenny's vast amount of knowledge is a great asset to the school. He is a teacher who loves to share.
